Field Insights Issue 29: Wolf Trax DDP Nutrients Increase Dry Bean Yield in Brazil

A replicated, multi-site field study was initiated in Brazil to evaluate the performance of Wolf Trax DDP Nutrients – compared to granular micronutrients and oil-based micronutrient coatings – as part of an early season fertilizer program for dry bean production. Under the conditions of this study, DDP Nutrients resulted in significant yield increases.

Field Insights Issue 28: Wolf Trax DDP Nutrients Increase Soybean Yield in Brazil

A replicated, multi-site field study was conducted in Brazil to evaluate the performance of Wolf Trax DDP Nutrients – compared to granular micronutrients and oil-based micronutrient coatings – as part of an early season fertilizer program for soybean production. DDP Nutrients significantly increased soybean yield relative to all other micronutrient products.

Soybeans Micronutrient Guide

Manganese deficiency is one of the most commonly encountered nutrient deficiencies in soybeans. Deficiencies typically vary across the field and can be recurring due to soil factors. Small amounts of zinc fertilizer have also been shown to increase yield considerably. Adequate zinc levels are necessary for proper growth, development and reproduction in soybeans.

Field Insights Issue 21: Wolf Trax Manganese DDP Increases Barley Yields in England

In 2014, a field study was conducted in England to evaluate the performance of Wolf Trax Mn DDP as a fertilizer coating and foliar fertilizer in barley production. The results of this study showed that the combination of Mn DDP applied to granular fertilizer significantly increased yields when followed up with a foliar manganese product.

Field Insights Issue 11: Nu-Trax P+ Improves Cotton Yields in Georgia

In 2014, a side-by-side trial was conducted by Southern States in Georgia to evaluate the performance of Nu-Trax P+ in cotton production. Under the conditions of this study, the addition of Nu-Trax P+ to standard grower practices increased cotton yields at all four trial locations. Nu-Trax P+ increased cotton yields by 49 pounds per acre, on average.

Field Insights 14: Wolf Trax DDP Nutrients and Nu-Trax P+ Increase Corn Yields in South Dakota

In 2015, a field study was conducted in South Dakota to evaluate the performance of Wolf Trax Zinc DDP, Boron DDP and Manganese DDP as well as Nu-Trax P+, as part of an early season nutrition program for corn production. Under the conditions of this study, Wolf Trax products increased corn yields by more than 18 bushels per acre.

Field Insights Issue 12: Nu-Trax P+ Improves Corn Yield in Maryland

In 2014, a field study was conducted in Maryland to evaluate the performance of Nu-Trax P+ as compared to other commonly used fertilizer practices. In this study, corn yields increased within treatments as a result of the addition of Nu-Trax P+, particularly in high phosphorus fertility treatments. This suggests that Nu-Trax P+ is an effective complement to standard fertilizer practices.

Field Insights Issue 7: Wolf Trax Manganese DDP Increases Soybean Yield

In 2007, a field study was conducted by Purdue University in Indiana to evaluate the performance of Wolf Trax Mn DDP in soybeans. Standard grower practices were also included for comparison purposes. The results of this study demonstrate that Mn DDP applied with starter fertilizer or as an in-season foliar application increased soybean yield as compared to the control treatment plots and plots that received starter fertilizer only.

Field Insights Issue 6: Wolf Trax DDP Nutrients Increase Oil Palm Production in Nicaragua

In 2015, a study was conducted in Nicaragua to evaluate the performance of Wolf Trax Mn, Mg and B DDP products in oil palm production. Granular micronutrients were also applied for  comparison purposes. Wolf Trax DDP products significantly increased the number and weight of fruit produced per plant as compared to the control, which can increase returns for the producer.

University study shows benefit of Wolf Trax Manganese DDP on soybeans

In 2007, researchers at Purdue University studied the effect of Wolf Trax® Manganese DDP® in starter fertilizer and as a follow-up foliar application. Their study showed that soil applied Manganese DDP was beneficial to soybean growth and yield, and was effective at reducing Manganese deficiency.
