DDP® Micronutrients

DDP as a Fertilizer Coating - DDP Fertilizer Coating technology provides a more precise and effective way of delivering nutrition directly to the plant’s roots in an available form.

Please watch our video for more information about DDP Fertilizer Coating Micronutrients.

Wolf Trax uniquely formulated micronutrients are designed to coat and adhere to each prill of dry N, P or K fertilizer. This ensures even distribution throughout the blend, and more consistent and even application across the field.

            DDP Fertilizer Coating                        Granular Micronutrient
(153 granules of fertilizer in a 15" x 5" x 3" soil                 (2 granules of granular micronutrient
profile based on 150 lb/ac of 34-17-0 fertilizer blend)         in a 15" x 5" x 3" soil profile based
                                                                                    on 35% zinc at 5 lb/ac)

DDP technology ensures that micronutrients are distributed throughout the root zone, providing up to 50 times the interception points for roots to access micronutrients compared to granular.

Improved uptake and earlier availability. When applied as a coating on granular, prilled fertilizer, Wolf Trax micronutrients are available to the crop the instant the crop accesses the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. This represents a revolutionary leap ahead of old-style, granular products, where it can take weeks for the crop to "find" sparsely spread "chunks". With Wolf Trax DDP micronutrients, root to nutrient contact is no longer left to chance.

Fertilizer Coating Blending Tips. For tips when using DDP Micronutrients as a fertilizer coating in different types of fertilizer blenders, watch our blending presentations. Best Use Practices are available for batch blenders, volumetric blenders, or tower blenders.  For more information, visit our Technical Support area, or call us at 204 237-9653.

DDP Micronutrients stay coated on the prills during blending, handling and application to the field. All fertilizer blends can be coated, including urea.
